Hello guys, today we will get to know about the Network Basics LAN and WAN and this is also a part of web development, before that we have written 3 more posts and also read it.

Network Basics LAN and WAN
In the last post, we investigated how the Internet works and the normal flow of data packets. Now we take a look at the mechanisms that allow or restrict the use of these packages network router, the firewall in port settings.

We will start with a local area network, a local area network is best described as a group of computer

A LAN is generally limited to a one-room building

or a group of buildings.
Let us know how you will handle your form in some important considerations.

To describe the structure of a local area network. We will start with the most basic network configuration when we first register to use the Internet with our local ISP, the ISP issues this modem to the US.

It is connected to our ISP using a coaxial cable or a DSL phone line.

This cable connection allows us to transmit data packets over the Internet as we learned earlier.

Technically we can now take a computer and connect directly to the modem via an Ethernet cable.

In this case,

the IP address provided by our ISP to the modem will be resolved directly to our computer.

Now we are connected and can send emails, surf the web, and transfer files. This is a great start, but there are some major issues that we have neglected in this type of setup.

The first big problem is security and the second is the extensibility of the network, first our computers work the system, be it Windows Mac OS or Linux, is very complex software with many applications.

It is open to security vulnerabilities that can be exploited through an Internet connection. Hackers often look for security problems in software and exploit these vulnerabilities when they find them

. .
Connect directly to your modem, hackers can more easily transmit data requests to your computer and determine if there is any vulnerability

. .
We will know this in more detail in the next post in this series. Second, let's say we wanted to split our internet connection with two or three computers and other devices.

Printers and mobile phones can be connected together because a modem allows only a single ethernet cable or DSL line connection to split the connection we will need a rotor to connect the modem to the router.

All devices are connected to the router, you can access the modem, and so the router provides an Internet unique local IP address for each connected device

So they will still have the same external or public IP, the router will analyze all data packets.

Traveling through networks and directing them to appropriate locations.

Whether in-field or Internet-bound, this diagram provides an illustration of the different network Transfer FilesWhen John sends the email, the router sends the email to a wide area network for output delivery.

John also sent a print job via the router to the printer connected to the network. The router knows how to place data packets connected to print packets within the local network.

.Sends packets to the printer for outgoing bob receives an incoming file transfer and the router directs the file to Bob's computer using his locally specified IP address.

Kim is browsing the internet and the router is directing incoming and outgoing TGP requests.

Kim's web browser

The SUSE is connected to the tablet router via WiFi The router has a signed SUSE tablet and a local IP address,

just like any other device.

The Internet, using a Facebook router, is sending HTTP packets from the social web browser to the Facebook web server when or a wide area network is simply a more complex network that spans much larger geographic areas regions such as cities, states, and nations

we have already discussed how vast the internet network is and its global reach is a wide area network.

Typically created by Internet service providers to provide connections to your local area network internet client since the Internet is a global network of interconnected computer networks, it is the largest in existence.

Benefits of LAN

Resource Sharing: Computer resources such as printers, modems, DVD-ROM drives, and hard disks can be shared with the help of local area networks. This reduces costs and hardware purchases.

Software application sharing: It is cheaper for each client to use the same software on the network than to buy them separately licensed software.

Easy and inexpensive communication: Data and messages can be easily transferred to a networked computer.

Centralized data: The data of all network users can be saved on the hard disk of the server computer. This will help users to use any workstation in the network to access their data. Because the data is not stored locally at workstations.

Data Security: Since data is concentrated on a server computer, it will be easier to manage the data in one place only and the data will be more secure.

Internet Sharing: Local area network provides the facility of sharing a single Internet connection between all LAN users. In Net Cafe, a single Internet connection sharing system keeps internet expenses cheaper.

Loss of LAN

High setup costs: Although the LAN will save costs over time due to shared computer resources, the initial setup cost of setting up a local area network is high.

Privacy Violation: The LAN administrator has the right to check the personal data files of each and every LAN user. Besides, he can check the history of LAN users, using Internet history and computers.

Data security threat: Unauthorized users can access important data of an organization if the central administrator data repository is not properly secured by the LAN administrator.

LAN Maintenance Job: Local area networks require a LAN administrator, as local area networks have problems with software installation or hardware failures, or cable malfunctions. This full-time job requires a LAN administrator.

Covers Limited Area: The local area network covers a small area such as an office, a building, or a cluster of nearby buildings.

Benefits of WAN

Includes a large geographic area so that long-distance business can connect on a network.

Shares software and resources with connecting workstations.

Messages can be sent much faster to someone else on the network. These messages may contain images, sounds, or data associated with them (called attachments).

Expensive items (such as printers or phone lines on the Internet) can be shared by all computers on the network without having to purchase separate peripherals for each computer.

Anyone and anywhere on the network can use the same data and avoids problems where some users may have older information than others.

Loss of WAN

A good firewall is needed to prevent outsiders from entering and disrupting the network.

Setting up a network can be a costly, slow, and complicated one. The larger the network, the more expensive.

Once set up, maintaining the network is a full-time job, requiring network supervisors and technicians to be employed.

Security is a real issue when many different people have the ability to access information from other computers and their Protection against all black hat hackers and viruses adds more complexity and expense.
